Saving precious lives
Whilst we build the shelter, we continue to rescue and rehome cats and kittens. We have had quite a few wonderful adoptions recently! Instead of dying or suffering on the streets, these cats got a second chance at life. We would like to thank our amazing foster families, generous supporters, and adopters for making it possible to save these precious lives. Their support, love, and care are invaluable for Catland. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Now, on to the adoptions of the past few weeks!
Tiggy was hit by a car and sadly lost one of her eyes. Due to the severity of her injuries, she needed longer-term fostering. Our fosters Sara and Bibi gave their all and gave Tiggy a new future. Tiggy was recently adopted by a wonderful local family. She finally has found the home she so deserves.
Our lovely Scout was rescued from a car engine. It took over two nights and days to trap him and he was infested with fleas and engine oil. He was nursed back to health in foster care and it did not take long before he stole the hearts of his new family. He now spends his days being loved and cuddled in his amazing forever home.
Tommy is another victim of a car engine. Unfortunately, he wasn’t as lucky as Scout. Tommy was found crying on the street. One of his legs was cut in half and the wound looked to be days old. After emergency surgery, Claire nursed him until he was strong enough to go into regular foster care. He joined Hazel’s pack to learn how to be a kitten. Shortly after an amazing local family fell in love with him and gave him a wonderful home.
In late September we rescued two tiny black kittens. They had been literally discarded off like trash, left in a cardboard box by the bins. The queen of kittens, Hazel, took them under her wings and gave the little duo all the TLC they needed. They are now healthy, gorgeous, and playful kittens. The best news? They have found an amazing forever family, together!
Lilibet was rescued after she’d been frequenting the Parador Hotel in Javea for 5-star food and treatment. Our foster Altamira was notified and did not hesitate to take this lovely girl off the streets. Lilibet was quickly adopted through our Dutch partner Little Tigers. Our Parador Princess took to the skies last Sunday. Now Betsie, truly came home; she settled in immediately! She will spend the rest of her life with her 5-star family.
Quite a list! We always have lovely cats in our care that are waiting for their forever family. If you are interested in adopting please contact us via email or send a message through one of our social media.
