Louis – a tabby Houdini

Meet Louis, a truly stunning boy with a story that tugs at the heart. He and his sister were abandoned near Arenal Beach, left with nothing but a bag of food. What their owners were thinking, we will never understand. His sister Mia was quickly rescued, but Louis had other plans… He kept us on our toes, slipping away night after night.

We tracked him by the Seresto collar he wore. Thankfully, that collar became his lifesaver. We received notifications daily of a tabby with a grey collar. Louis was famous 😃 We spent night after night on the street trying to gain his trust. Humans had let him down once so, he was not going to make it easy.

One summer evening, after spending hours trying to coax the estranged boy at night, we struck lucky. Louis came close and gave us the opportunity to scruff him and tuck him safely into a basket. He was safe. Louis was whisked away to be with his sister Mia!

Tears of happiness were short-lived. We hadn’t had time to finish a celebratory coffee when the news came in that Louis had smashed through the Persian blinds and escaped back onto the streets. The situation was now worse, and we were devastated. Night after night, we called for Louis, but he was gone 😱 We had to wait for another sighting.
