Moon – A wild little tiger?
In May of 2025, Team Catland was in the middle of one of those whirlwind rescue days, the kind where your heart races from one mission to the next. Just as we were finally heading home, a call came in: a tiny kitten had been found all alone on a dangerous road.
Kind neighbors had managed to scoop the little one up but were desperate to find a safe haven. When we arrived, we were met with a scene that could have come straight from a movie: a huge closed box, anxious faces gathered around, and one brave woman clutching a hand that had clearly met a very feisty feline. “My goodness,” we thought, “what wild little tiger are we about to meet?”
We didn’t dare peek inside for fear of a daring escape. Carefully, we maneuvered the oversized box into the car and made a quick call to Rosana, one of our Catland heroes. Without a moment’s hesitation, she opened her heart (and her home!) to help with this mystery rescue.
Under the soft glow of the evening sky, Rosana met us near her home with a secure cat carrier. It was time to face our “wild tiger.” With the car doors and windows locked tight, we slowly lifted the lid and peeked inside…
Pure magic
What we saw took our breath away. Two wide, beautiful eyes stared back at us, not with fury, but with the sweetest mix of curiosity and trust. Gently, we reached in and lifted the tiny kitten. No hissing. No biting. No spitting. Just the softest little soul melting right into our arms.
That very evening, Rosana sent us the first update photos and videos that melted our hearts. In just a few hours, this little one had already started to cast his spell on his foster mom. Could it be a foster fail in the making? Day by day, Moon grew more confident, his personality blossoming like a little star. Rosana began to realize that saying goodbye might be impossible. But there was one important question left: would her two resident cats accept a new family member?
Moon, of course, had other plans. With his gentle charm and irresistible kitten magic, he began winning them over, paw by paw, purr by purr. Before long, it was clear: Moon wasn’t going anywhere. He had found his forever home.
He wasn’t a tiger after all, he was pure magic. And just like that, Moon found his first true moment of safety and love.
