A busy Friday night brought two cats in urgent need of help to Catland.

The first was a male cat near Tarraula with a serious infection and severe wounds across his back. A kind lady managed to coax him into a box, and José Luis met us at the veterinary clinic. We named him Victor, and he was hospitalised for treatment.

Later that evening, the local police called about a cat who had been hit by a car on the Carretera Cabo la Nao. Rosie Burford and her daughter had witnessed the accident and stopped to help the little tricolour girl.

She was badly injured and struggling to breathe. José Luis met us at the clinic again, where she received emergency treatment to stabilise her before being hospitalised.

A brighther morning

By morning, we received a video showing her looking much brighter. She is still not out of danger, but it was a hopeful start. Leslie Forbes has kindly offered to foster her when she is ready. She may have a family looking for her, although nobody has come forward so far.

Victor is improving too. Both cats remain hospitalised, receiving the treatment and care they need.

Thank you to everyone who helped them and to everyone who supports Catland. Your kindness makes these rescues possible.
