Extra, Extra! Catland Javea making headlines

Catland Javea was featured in two Spanish online news outlets this week. The articles describe our four-year journey to the start of the build, how we already help Javea’s street cats and what we can offer once the shelter opens. Xabia al Dia mentions that with Catland, Javea will finally have its own cat shelter:

“The future shelter for cats in Xàbia is underway. In the same way that spaces are enabled for dogs such as Apasa, the largest, or RAMA; there is not yet one for felines.”

It is heartwarming to see the local press supporting Javea’s cat shelter! Our cats deserve all the attention they can cget to find a safe place where they can recover from a life on the streets. A place where cats suitable for a life as a pet can peacefully await being rehomed into loving forever families. Levante explains that Catland has a no-kill policy and already rescues and rehomes cats into good forever families.

“The shelter will make it possible to save and rehome endangered cats. No cat will be euthanized. Catland already works with the Dutch foundation Little Tigers, and numerous cats rescued in Xàbia have been adopted by families in the Netherlands.”
