Hello, my name is Rosana Giner, and I am very happy to be part of this great team at Catland.

My life has always been centered around the Gandia area and its surroundings. I am originally from there, from a small town in La Safor called Rafelcofer. My professional career also developed in that area. For more than 20 years, I worked in large retail stores and hypermarkets.

Driven by my desire to learn and grow, I was promoted to deputy director of the company, a position of great responsibility. However, due to circumstances beyond my control, I realized that I no longer wanted to continue in that job, so I requested dismissal and left. At that point, an American company specializing in nutrition and personal care products entered my life. I ventured into this completely unfamiliar field, and it turned out to be a great success—I even managed to establish my own distribution and sales offices.

But life had a surprise in store for all of humanity: COVID-19 arrived. Businesses were forced to close, we went bankrupt, and we had to start working from home. It was during this time that real estate entered my life. This change also allowed me to move to Jávea and work remotely.

A sudden illness struck me, and I had to stop working. That was when I decided to take a new direction in my life. Since I didn’t know anyone in Jávea, I started searching online for cat associations to volunteer and learn from them. At first, it was difficult to get in touch because most of them were English-speaking, and I didn’t know the language at all. But the universe placed Claire Wall in my path—she did speak Spanish—and that was how I began the wonderful journey I am now immersed in.

I learned how to capture stray cats, which led me to become a colony caretaker, allowing me to monitor and care for them. Every day, I learn so much from the Catland team, and I feel incredibly happy to help those who have no voice and rely entirely on us.

I invite you to join us!
