Catland Build Update: Phase 2 completed!

The project has advanced and looks amazing. With the finishing of the platforms for the cat housing, phase 2 is now completed! We are proud of what we have achieved with our constructor Toni Descals. The work has been certified by our architects and Toni has been paid.

We must now concentrate on fundraising to achieve phase 3. This phase will involve, covering of septic tank. Laying of protective tarpaulin which will cover all bare earth areas to stop weeds, followed by laying of stonage for all internal pathways. Mounting of internal posts and escape free protection fencing on each coral area. Estimated cost to complete this stage will be in the region of 20.000 euros. We are awaiting the updated quote.

Phase 4, will be to order shipping containters which will be converted into cat housing. Fitting of solar panels and connection of plumbing.

We do not receive government funding. We shall keep fighting and fundraising to achieve this much needed rescue centre for the cats of Jávea.

We would love to hear your thoughts and feedback on helping with fundraising ideas. Another way to help us is to share our posts on social media so that we reach a bigger audience. Every little thing counts and is much appreciated!

We hope you’ll enjoy the video! Thank you to everybody for your kindness and support!
